What we do!

At Ziggy’s you and your baby or preschooler will get their lifelong connection to music off to a flying start! They will be boosting their language development, encouraging their social interactions and expanding their confidence and concentration skills. Meanwhile, you will enjoy high quality, fun and interactive weekly live music sessions with like-minded adults while making precious memories with your little one.  Oh, and don’t forget our adorable music mascot Ziggy – you’ll never look at zebras the same way again!

Children, parents, grandparents and carers love the mix of traditional and original songs, funny finger rhymes, hilarious knee bouncers, ever-popular instrument playing, and delight in magical theatrical storytelling. Ziggy’s is the perfect weekly session for you and little one to mingle, bounce, giggle and sing, and it’s never too early to start.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Cookham & Marlow Crew

Meet Louise and Jenni. Jenni plays ‘keys’, or piano while Louise presents the weekly sessions. Both accomplished singers, they bring their wealth of musical experience and harmonizing skills on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Jenni
Jenni is a pianist and singer who leapt at the chance to work with the Teddies Music Club team after she experienced its brilliance firsthand with her two young children. She studied Music at undergraduate and postgraduate level at Cambridge University and decided education and learning were for her, so she undertook a PGCE in Secondary Music which led her to teach the subject in various secondary schools across the country. But the Gareth Malone effect caught her and so she gave up full-time secondary Music teaching to sing with all ages, leading community choirs, vocal workshops, as well as teaching class Music and leading singing in primary schools. She loves sharing the joy of singing with anyone and everyone!

Louise
Louise has a BAHons in Business & Drama and has been involved in music since primary school, whether playing the Piano, Guitar, singing in choirs, or performing in plays and musicals. Having previously worked as a Marketing Manager, becoming a mum re-ignited her passion for live music by attending Teddies Music Club with her babies. Once asked to join the team, she finally got to work in music in Windsor, Norden Farm, Cookham and Marlow with Teddies. As a member of Cantorum Choir based in Cookham Louise is delighted to be presenting and harmonizing her way through Ziggy’s live music sessions in the Village and surrounding areas.

Twyford Crew

Meet Debbie and Jeanette. Debbie plays acoustic guitar and Jeanette brings her dance and performing arts background to the sessions on a Thursday.

Debbie
Debbie is a qualified and experienced musician. She studied at music college in the UK and Germany and has a BAHons (music) RWCMD and LTCL (T). As a performer she has performed widely in Europe and throughout the UK and continues to enjoy teaching pupils of all levels. As a guitar teacher, she has worked at some of the most prestigious schools in the country and taught from preschool to degree level. In addition to this, she also performs professionally for events and functions and even puts in an occasional appearance playing bass for a barn dance band! Having attended Teddies Music Club with both of her children and absolutely loved the experience, she was delighted to be asked to join Jeanette and the team.

Jeanette
Jeanette had been leading Teddies Music Club sessions for over twenty years. As with all the other presenters, she started out as a customer, bringing her daughter along to Claire & Zita’s classes in Maidenhead. She quickly picked up the chance to join their number as her son was born. Her background is in dance; she is a qualified Ballet teacher and since she specialized in teaching preschool children, the jump to leading a music class was simple and enabled her to add a ‘movement brain’ to the multi-faceted organisation Teddies already was. Her broader training in both music and drama, including a BAHons in Performing Arts, added to the mix and Jeanette enjoys letting her hair down and having some crazy fun with everyone at each session!!
